Sicknesses, Visitors and Playing

We went to a State Park on Sunday with our two friends from Louisville and had a good time!
Being silly! He loves climbing and wanted me to help him climb this jungle gym.
My cool baby boy in his Diego sunglasses.
You can't tell in this picture, but she's wearing pigtails for the first time! Her hair has gotten so long and it makes her look so grown up.
The kids got to finger paint so I let Katelyn draw with markers. You can see in this pic that she's just learning how to to do it! : )
Ethan and his friend had lots of fun fingerpainting.
Play doh time!

We took a lot of walks down our road and I made my friend pull me on the wagon!

You can't really tell in these pictures, but we've had two sick babies! Ethan got an upper respiratory viral infection at the beginning of last week. He just coughed and coughed--mostly at night. On Tuesday night, Katelyn started throwing up and just didn't feel well over the next several days even getting to the point where she wouldn't sit up on Sunday! I was terrified and we took her to the doctor yesterday to find out she had a middle ear infection as well. She is doing much better now and we're happy to have our feisty girl back. We knew she was feeling better the other day when she finished her bottle and started yelling because she wanted more!
Ethan has been doing better, but started coughing again last night. I think it may be related to allergies! : (
We had fun with our friends from Louisville. One of them was a little girl that Ethan used to play with a lot so he was very happy to have his buddy back again!

FINALLY!! The updated adventures of the Claytor Family!

It's official--this cutie has been walking for a couple of months now!

Ethan is learning to use the scissors and thinks it's fun!
The ordeal of the mailbox. We bought a mailbox and Tracy and Kelly put it in. They had to use a sledgehammer to get the post in to the ground. They were very proud of it until the postman came and told them that they put it on the wrong side of the road. When Tracy pulled the other one out, the post broke. We tried to nail the post back together to no avail and then tried to buy another post which proved impossible. All that was left was to buy ANOTHER mail box (these things are more expensive than you'd think!). This one had be concreted in. I took this picture from the window without Tracy knowing about it because it was kind of funny. It was over a hundred degrees outside and he had been out there over two hours. The whole time his lips were moving though he was by himself. Somehow I don't think he was singing a song!

The aftermath--the mailbox is in and Tracy is a mess!

Learning to feed herself with a spoon and (wonderful invention) her suction cup bowl so she can't pick it up and throw it on the floor!
Last night, having his supper! He's still getting adjusted to yet another home!

Our living room with furniture!
Another angle--this one has the beautiful bookcase a member of our church built for us!

We've officially been moved in almost 3 weeks and I've been back at school about the same time. I haven't had access to internet to be able to post any pictures, so I've finally got it worked out. It's been a bit crazy with Ethan getting a double ear infection, finding out our washer and dryer didn't fit in the laundry room (and having to get new stackable ones), finding out I wasn't getting paid until the end of September (PANIC!) and a host of other things, but as usual, God provides and the stress I felt wasn't really necessary. Thank the Lord He isn't like us!

Ethan and Katelyn are in a wonderful daycare which they both love and Ethan calls school. They are happy to go every day now (though it took a week of adjustment while my poor Dad took them!) and are smiling and cheerful when I pick them up. School has been good for me--my students are great and I've got a great schedule. It is so nice going back to what is already familiar and it almost feels like I never left! Tracy is doing well at the church and is happy there and we just feel good about being right where God has planned and about being here for a while! We've moved every year of our marriage and twice this year! I'm done!

Having fun as our summer break ends!

DaddyBob sharing his icecream--whether he wanted to or not!
Ethan loves play golf so DaddyBob got him his own kid-sized clubs. Ethan loves them!
We took the youth to a fun park last week and Ethan got to go with us. It surprised Tracy and me when Ethan wanted to go on the go-karts (he's scared of loud noises) and then asked to go again! He also enjoyed the bumper boats and arcade games!
Katelyn's first picture! It is now proudly displayed on Nana's frig!
A new love of Ethan's--Elvis! We came back from church last night to hear that Ethan had a blast dancing to Elvis' music! What a cutie!
This week brings some big changes for us. Tomorrow I go back to school and the kids in to full-time daycare. Fortunately we have found a place that seems really great and that really focuses on teaching the kids (they even have a curriculum!). We're hoping the kids are happy there. We close on the house on Wednesday (hopefully) and plan to move in this weekend! Please pray for the transition for all of us. I'm looking forward to getting settled in to our home and new routine. More pics will be coming! : )

More pics of the house, a bubbly bath and the lake!

We ran the jets in the tub and it made amazing bubbles! I had to get in it looked so inviting!

Yes--I'd like to order 500 pounds of grapes. How am I paying for this? Just send the bill to Nana and DaddyBob!
The laminate wood floor is finally in and the kitchen countertops!

The master bath!
Ethan peeking out where the sink will be!

Today at the lake--we don't have the ocean but the lake was a lot of fun!
Playing in the sand was lots of fun!

Here's the beach area we played in!
Having fun!

More pictures of the house!

Ibelieve the countertops are coming in this week, but here is our kitchen without it. We will have a dark countertop and tile and black appliances. Where I was standing to take the picture is the diningroom and the livingroom is to the right. It's an open floor plan.
Here is the livingroom. We are tiling around the fireplace and laminate wood flooring will be in the livingroom and diningroom.
This is our back deck! It's partially covered and partially open.
This is the closet in one of the kids' rooms. The builder added lots of nice touches like pull out drawers in the bottom of the closets!
Ethan being a good big brother!
We had a 4th of July church celebration and we all played softball. Ethan had a good time as you can tell!

Smiling Faces

We were playing peekabook with her dress!

Still loves his books!
Katelyn doesn't look too thrilled, does she?

We're learning to walk!

At Henderson Falls park--this place sure brings back a lot of memories from college!

The famous Toccoa Falls!

I'm enjoying my summer with my babies and getting things ready for the house. I'm not sure what grades I will be teaching as they are still working out the details. I go back on July 31st. As of yet, we have not found the wonderful place for my babies that I'm hoping for so please be praying!
