It's official--Ethan is now sleeping in his toddler bed. I've put Katelyn's crib set on the crib now (and it looks so adorable) and she will be moving in to it as soon as Ethan does better about going to bed without fussing.

We had a lovely time with family over Thanksgiving break! Ethan loves all of his new toys and Katelyn enjoyed all of the attention. I never knew how social Katelyn was--she had smiles for everyone! I was glad to finally get to celebrate Ethan's birthday. After we sang Happy Birthday to him, he sang it all night! I think one of his favorite parts of the trip was meeting his cousin. They played all evening and had the best time. It was too precious! Thanks Uncle Dale and Aunt Judy for hosting us all week. We had a great time!

Hallelujah!

Ethan is finally eating! He went to bed last night at 9pm and slept until 10:30am! He didn't even make a sound (and this is a miracle because this whole week he has been waking up every 2 hours crying or coughing). He is right now running around the living room and talking to Blues Clues on TV. I am so grateful I could cry (and I have too--this time for joy!)!
She's still not feeling 100%, but even with two ear infections, she's till such a sweet baby. She hates her antibiotics and it takes me 1/2 an hour to give her 1/2 a teaspoon! I've been having her sleep in her bouncer to help with the stuffy nose!

It's gotten worse!!

I took Katelyn to the doctor this morning and she has ear infections in both of her ears. Also, Ethan was doing better yesterday--eating, playing with toys--and has taken a turn for the worse again with his fever returning, refusing to eat or even take medicine. I'm tearing my hair out here. I finally broke down and cried my eyes out and I really feel like God spoke to me and encouraged me that this will not last forever! We haven't slept in a week and it makes me so sad to see them feeling badly. Ethan is alseep in my bed right now and I'm hoping the rest will help him. I appreciate your prayers!

Ethan went to the doctor today because he had been sick all week. It turns out that he has an ear infection and a touch of pneumonia. He has been pretty miserable today, but started feeling better this evening. I'm hoping that with the antibiotics that he'll be feeling good again soon. Please pray for his quick recovery (especially that horrible cough that keeps him up at night) and for sweet Katelyn that she won't get sick! Thanks!

Back at the zoo

Ethan loved wearing his Cookie Monster jacket today. Even though it got up to 72 degrees, he didn't want to take it off!
I can't remember what he's doing here--I think he's learning to cough with his hand over his mouth!

Ethan was enjoying playing with his "plane" pajamas (they have planes all over them!). He thought it was fun to put them on his head and to walk when he couldn't see! It was hilarious!

Gift Ideas for Ethan and Katelyn

I was just thinking how I couldn't believe Ethan's birthday is in 2 1/2 weeks! Soon after that we will be seeing family and I figured I'd let you know right now some possible gifts for Ethan's b-day and for Christmas for both of them.

Ethan- any type of car or truck toy, magnets, bubbles, books, socks, anything VeggieTales/Blues Clues/Dora the Explorer, blocks, stacking toys, basically any toys for 2 year olds

Katelyn- warm clothes for 6-9 months (sleepers, outfits, socks, caps), diapers
