We went to our weekly playdate at Chuck E Cheese which was a lot of fun. You only have to spend as much money as you want on machines (there's no entrance fee). The kids have a nice, clean place to play and the parents have a good time chatting. The kids are doing great and haven't been sick for a while (hallelujah!). We're going down to Georgia next weekend for a nice long break and look forward to seeing old friends--some who haven't seen Katelyn since she was a newborn! They're not going to recognize those chunky cheeks!

I didn't get any good pics of Ethan today. The poor sweetie has a huge cut on his lip where he tried to eat the nightstand last night! He's talking so much now and likes to tell me in detail (with re-enactments) whenever he hurts himself. This is getting more common since his new favorite past-time is to do a somersault off of the couch!

Today we took the kiddos to Chuckecheese. Tracy got off work early so he came and joined us. It was fun and not crowded so I think we'll be back again! Ethan had a blast playing and Katelyn enjoyed laughing at everyone!

Good News and a Funny Story!

Well both of the kids are better now. Katelyn ended up having to go back to the doctor because she had a really high fever. There wasn't any more infection and it turned out she had a virus. In the midst of this, she has been growing like crazy and gained half a pound in a week! We also think there are some teeth about to make an entrance too--we'll keep you posted. She stopped having a fever around Thursday and we are so happy. She's finally smiling again and sleeping better.

Ethan never did get grumpy but is bored to death! He now runs around the apartment to get his energy out since it is really, really cold (it's like 15 degrees outside right now!). I have some fun video of him that I will upload soon! The funny story is this--Tracy got up with Ethan this morning at 7:30am to let me sleep. I just woke up around 9:30am and I come in to the living room to find Tracy has passed out on the couch and Ethan sitting on the floor watching Blues Clues. Here's the funny part--Ethan has removed his pants and diaper and is sitting naked on the floor! And it's cold in here too! I guess he was tired of wearing a wet diaper!

Katelyn is still asleep in her crib (this is amazing since she goes to bed at 7:30pm and it is now 9:45am). She did wake up a couple of times last night but I ended up ignoring her after the 2nd awakening. She is right now sleeping on her stomach too!

Update from the doctor

Here we go again....Ethan has double ear infections and an eye infection and Katelyn has an ear infection in her left ear! Despite this they are both in great moods! I wouldn't have even thought to take them to the doctor if it wasn't for Ethan's eye! Katelyn has been great until last night she woke up screaming and grabbing her ear as well (but hasn't touched it since). No fevers or anything! I'm glad their happy but it does make me nervous that I might have missed it!

Katelyn has recently started saying "dadada" which is too cute. Ethan is working on potty training and likes getting stickers. However, their both sick now and will be going to the doctor.

We went out to dinner with some friends for New Years. Look at Katelyn's cute little face!

Ethan wasn't in the mood to take pictures so I took Katelyn into their room and took a bunch of pictures. The backdrop is actually a blanket my friend Mary made for her! Isn't it lovely? Katelyn is growing so fast and is getting good at sitting up. She had her 6 months shots the other day, but she was a real trooper!

I am taking the kiddos to the doctor on Monday for their checkups and I'm going to find out what I can do about Ethan's cough. It never seems to go away and gets worse at night. We think it might be allergies or something. I hope to get some pics of Ethan when he is feeling a little better.
