Cute pics of the kids at the park, at home and from Thanksgiving!

I love this photo! We had fun playing in the leaves today!

Katelyn enjoyed the leaves too!

Katelyn's expression says it all: It really isn't easy being perfect! Of course, this is a Nana bought shirt.
What can I say--she's adorable!

We had a great Thanksgiving today with all of the family. Tracy and I were talking about how usually we would have had an 8 hour drive before this and how nice it is to live only 20 minutes away! We are so thankful for family and for a home to live in. God is good!

Some pics from Ethan's birthday

Ethan got a Dora book from Uncle Terry for his birthday and it is now his favorite bedtime book!
Ethan's new choochoo train and firetruck. It's a noisy house over here! : )
Dr. Ethan at your service!
We took Ethan to Chuck E Cheese yesterday for his birthday and I forgot the camera at home! Fortunately, Nana remembered hers so as soon as I get them I will post them!

Katelyn and her many moods!

Katelyn is playing in the rain and being her hilarious self!

Ethan playing kickball

Ethan is hilarious in this video because he's more interested in running than in playing the game!

Busy as a Bee...and a Pirate!

Katelyn sporting her lovely Bee costume and preparing to sing hymns as well!
I love those chunky legs in her little dress!
Uh Oh! They've switched--Katelyn is a pirate and...
Ethan is a bee!
Ethan and Katelyn got to wear their costumes to daycare on Halloween. Ethan was a pirate again!

Today is DaddyBob's birthday and they had fun last night decorating his card!
Katelyn decorated with her handprint and then her foot. She then tried to run around the house with a paper stuck to her foot. It was pretty funny!
Don't tell Tracy, but Ethan's got a maternal streak. He loves taking care of Katelyn's baby doll. Here he has put her down for a nap.
What devotion!
They decided it would be fun to wear Mommy's jackets and run in to things. They seemed to enjoy themselves!
Life is exciting for me since we finally got internet at home. That means I can once again check my facebook and do my blog more than once a month! Halloween was a fun day for the kids. They got to dress up at daycare and then Tracy and I took them to the city Halloween party (which actually was more lines than party). Then we went to church and played games and got lots of candy (which Mommy is eating way too much of!) and then had a big dinner. The kids had a blast!

October 2007

We take walks down our road almost every night and the kids love to be outside!
Cuddling with my cuties on the couch.
Ethan loves tools and Bob the Builder. For his birthday, Nana and DaddyBob are getting him his own tool bench!
Modeling her Made in Louisville onesie! : )
Enjoying a stroller ride!
Gotta be one of my favorite pics!

Potty time is reading time (and Katelyn is getting in on the fun now!). We're finding that the best method with Ethan is to bribe him with chocolate and give him a book to read. I know we aren't supposed to use food as a reward--but it works!
I love those pigtails!

At DaddyBob's church's Fall Festival. Ethan was most excited about the candy!
She's my runaway child and thanks to Christy's great idea, I've got her a backpack toy that doesn't look like a leash!

Ethan on a horse!

Ethan (and Katelyn) shocked me when they both loved riding on the horse! Of course, I forgot the camera, but someone at church took these for me. Tracy has one of Katelyn on his phone and as soon as I figure out how to get it off, I'll put it on the site!

A good start to October!

We had a hard time getting both of them to look forward as you can see in this in this photo and the one further down!

"Baby!" It's one of her favorite words (little does she realize that she is still a baby herself!)

They love Disney!
Doesn't she look precious with her little purse?

What a face!
Enjoying an afternoon at the park!
Katelyn enjoyed playing with the dirt.
He's looking so grown up now!
Having fun in the tub!

Life has been so busy, but good. We joke that we actually had more time when we lived in Louisville! However, we love having our own house and being back in the country near family. I'm getting my ESOL endorsment and actually am helping co-teach a resource class in the morning! I'm a little overwhelmed with all the work, but I'm sure I'll get through it!

Ethan is learning his Awana's verses and is being such a good boy. He's getting over his fear of CubbyBear (they had a puppet that he was terrified of). He can sing Twinkle, Twinkle all by himself and can wash his hands by himself. Potty training is still a work in progress!

Katelyn is talking a lot more now and is a great eater. She's cutting three new teeth lately and has been a bit grumpy. We're keeping her drugged up on ibuprofen though!

Sicknesses, Visitors and Playing

We went to a State Park on Sunday with our two friends from Louisville and had a good time!
Being silly! He loves climbing and wanted me to help him climb this jungle gym.
My cool baby boy in his Diego sunglasses.
You can't tell in this picture, but she's wearing pigtails for the first time! Her hair has gotten so long and it makes her look so grown up.
The kids got to finger paint so I let Katelyn draw with markers. You can see in this pic that she's just learning how to to do it! : )
Ethan and his friend had lots of fun fingerpainting.
Play doh time!

We took a lot of walks down our road and I made my friend pull me on the wagon!

You can't really tell in these pictures, but we've had two sick babies! Ethan got an upper respiratory viral infection at the beginning of last week. He just coughed and coughed--mostly at night. On Tuesday night, Katelyn started throwing up and just didn't feel well over the next several days even getting to the point where she wouldn't sit up on Sunday! I was terrified and we took her to the doctor yesterday to find out she had a middle ear infection as well. She is doing much better now and we're happy to have our feisty girl back. We knew she was feeling better the other day when she finished her bottle and started yelling because she wanted more!
Ethan has been doing better, but started coughing again last night. I think it may be related to allergies! : (
We had fun with our friends from Louisville. One of them was a little girl that Ethan used to play with a lot so he was very happy to have his buddy back again!
